I didn't know it at the time (drunk to the maximum on So-ju which has 25% to 35% of alcohol concentration. It has no colors and transparent. My friend was a Korean linguist, so he assured me that we were not in trouble. They just never heard sounds like that from a human, nor seen anyone get sick that violently. When I was done, we got into a cab and went back to our base near Seoul.
I think that's about it though. 23 years in the USMC, different countries, you eat a lot of "unusual" stuff.

also, I never tried Balut, but used to work with a guy who's wife was philipine and they used to have it all the time at bbqs. I would never even come close to trying it.
Let's see, I have had Octopus, Fish Roe and Puffer fish on Sushi. Shark fin soup (didn't realize the atrocity that was at the time)
I have eaten Snake in China, and Dog in Korea.
Black/Blood pudding and Haggas in the UK, and even tried fried mountain oysters once. Choclate covered ants and grasshoppers.
Horse Steak in France, along with Snails and Frog's legs. Buffalo and Osterich meat.
sheesh - can't remember the rest.
And yes, EQ, soju is a killer apparently. I have seen many a person messed up on that.

I know people that eat balut. I keep asking them to bring me one cause I want to open it and disect it and stuff but they never do. [img]tongue.gif[/img]
Oh and I've eaten Cow brains [img]graemlins/gulp.gif[/img] and frog legs. [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]
at least a few time at some people I kil... no wait, that was Lector. nevermind!
I've had buffalo meat, as well as cow heart. Good stuff. Heart was hard to chew though.
